Kibaale Intern – 3-12 month term

The Kibaale Community Centre is a unique organization that connects two different cultures, Canada and Uganda. It’s for this reason that the centre has seen such success over the 25 years it has been operating.

The focus of our ministries here in Uganda is education, and the Ugandan curriculum is written in English. Therefore, having people that’s dominant language is English involved and engaged with our staff and students is incredibly helpful in the development of the centre.

The below is a list of tasks that a Kibaale Intern could potentially engage in. A specific job description can be catered to qualified interns according to their skill set and gifts.



·      Daily Office Administration
o   Payroll
o   Receiving monthly accountabilities
o   Assisting the Director with daily administration
o   Managing social media accounts

·      KCF Administration
o   Assist KCF Uganda staff with communications with PAOS Canada staff regarding sponsorship and special gifts
o   Oversee monthly special gift program alongside Uganda staff
o   Oversee quality of special gift letters and term letters including coming up with new topics for letters and the quality of scanning
o   Responsible for student photos and special gift photos
o   Assist the KCF staff to prepare for the November special gift team
o   Oversee the Christmas craft/gift given to every sponsor
o   Assist staff to ensure databases are kept up to date


·      Guest Houses & Teams
o   Manage guest houses and cleaning staff
o   Organizing, preparing and hosting of teams, visitors, volunteers and guests

·      Schools
o   Volunteering in classrooms: center times, PE classes, sports days, outreach events, chapels, etc.
o   One on one tutoring
o   Assisting teachers with prep work; creating classroom visual aids, painting murals, etc.
o   Class planning and teaching lessons where applicable
o   Volunteer in the Daycare, assisting with the holistic care of the babies and toddlers
o   Arrange structured activities for the Nursery students attending Daycare in the afternoons
o   One on one care with special needs children in Daycare as needed

·      Clinic
o   Assisting medical staff where applicable: administration, patient care, pharmacy, etc.

o   Assisting medical staff with weekly baby immunization.
