Position Title – Kibaale Community Centre Program Coordinator


We are looking to expand our staff team to include a Program Coordinator who will be based at the rural Kibaale Community School location. This self-funded or fundraised position would suit an adventurous person or couple willing to commit to a 1-2 year term, starting in January 2017. 


The successful candidate must be:  

·    A Team Player who provides support where needed and understands that roles can sometimes vary from stated job descriptions.
·    An Adaptable person who is comfortable living in an extremely rural setting (lack of consistent electricity, water restrictions, limited internet access)
·    A Self Aware person, who can identify his/her own skills, and finds ways to apply those creatively to the work of the project.
·    Able to Develop relationships with local staff and the community, with the goal of helping others experience success, challenging them and then celebrating signs of growth
·    A Disciplined Planner that seeks to manage timelines, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and create structure as needed.
·    A Visionary that sees opportunities and can take the necessary steps to motivate others to realize that vision.
·    A Strategist that can prioritize effectively while remaining flexible.

Roles include:

·      Supporting the child sponsorship office staff 
o   Letter writing
o   Photography
o   Assisting with monthly special gift program
·      Assisting finance office with office administration and manages departmental yearly budgets
o   Cash Management
o   Payroll
·      Overseeing sustainable agriculture projects
·      Participating in Kibaale Community Centre Leadership team roles
·      Hosting visitors/teams/interns/volunteers
o   Transportation
o   Team preparations
o   Arranging safaris and excursions

Please Note:
Applicants should be aware that serving internationally requires a high degree of grace and flexibility due to factors beyond our control (illness, government decisions, financial realities, personnel changes, etc.). These realties can necessitate changes to the posted position, at any point in the application/interview process or in the field.
Married applicants should also be aware that spouses are viewed as KCC team members and are expected to be involved in the ministry of the project. Specific roles can be determined based on gifts, training and/or team needs and as family responsibilities allow.
